For our women’s support volunteer program in India, we run the program as a part-time position, based on the needs of the women’s groups that we help. Volunteers typically spend much of their time volunteering with children, either at children’s shelters or shelters, then they spend 1-2 days a week working with women’s empowerment groups. We have found that this arrangement has worked better for both the volunteers and the women’s groups over the years, because the groups do not meet every day.
Locations: New Delhi
Dates: Available year-round. You choose the start and end dates.
Requirements: Age 18+
Length of Stay: 1 week minimum. 6 months maximum.
Schedule: Volunteer Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm. Weekends free-time.
Accommodations: Host Family or at an orphanage (18+ female volunteers only)
