Volunteer in Kenya
Kenya is well-known for its incredible wildlife parks, but of course
there is so much more to this wonderful East African country. Kenya
has over 70 tribal groups and many languages, with English and Swahili
spoken throughout most of Kenya. The country's capital city Nairobi
is often referred to as the birthplace of humanity. And Kenya is
one of Africa's more politically stable countries.
Our programs in Kenya immerse our volunteers into the rich and
varied culture of Kenya. We have programs in Nairobi
where volunteers live and work in one of Africa's largest cities.
In the Rift
Valley, volunteers live and work with the Maasai tribe
-- a truly African experience. Our programs also take place in Machakos
where volunteers experience life in rural Africa. In western Kenya,
we have orphanage, teaching, and HIV/AIDS volunteer work in Kakunga.
Volunteers can stay as little as one week or as long as six months.
So check out the programs below, and let us help you experience
and learn about the culture and people of Kenya.
