Volunteer in Vietnam
Vietnam continues to gain in popularity as a travel destination.
Although the country's war history is remembered by locals and those
abroad, Vietnam is a peaceful place looking to the future. The country
has enjoyed economic growth since the government's Doi Moi reforms
in the 1980's, while the culture is strongly influenced by Buddhism
and Confucianism with strong emphasis on the family.
Our programs take place in Ho
Chi Minh City where volunteers live and work in Vietnam's
largest city and economic hub.
Volunteers can stay as little as one week or as long as three months.
Our program with children at orphanages provides volunteers with
a real opportunity to share your time and caring, as you experience
and learn about the culture and people of Vietnam.
In your free time, Vietnam has abundant and diverse natural beauty
to explore. You can visit the mountains, beaches, jungles, and river
deltas in a number of ways, like by bus, train, bicycle, or on foot.
There are also a wide range of day trips you can do from the city.
Remember to drink plenty of water though, because Vietnam is tropical
with an average humidity around 85%.
