Elephant Park in Thailand

Jade from Gig Harbor, Washington volunteered earlier this year at an elephant camp in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

She wrote to us with her feedback:

"The elephant site was AMAZING. Once I settled in I didn't want to leave! The people were very welcoming and went out of their way to make me comfortable and happy. [My Coordinator] Todd was beyond my expectations. Scott was also so incredibly helpful. The best part of the experience was having the chance to work with the elephants. I did some first-aid, taught lots of English to the staff, and rode elephants everyday. The rides through the jungle were the best. I love Thailand and I want to thank you for the chance to go on this trip! I am definitely going to return."

Jade was profiled by the local newspaper in her hometown.

School Cleanup on the Galapagos Islands

High school students from the Blyth Academy in Toronto spent a day this summer at an elementary school on the island of Santa Cruz on the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador.

The 20+ students cleaned, painted, and performed light repairs at the school. The students also visited one of the nearby tortoise sites where our volunteers work.

Cosmic Volunteers was happy to arrange their day-of-service service free of charge, while donating all materials and tools for the students' work as well as transport and meals.

Bolivia: Our Newest Volunteer Destination

I am excited to announce that Bolivia is the newest country for our volunteers.

The programs in this beautiful South American country include teaching at schools, volunteering at orphanages, coaching sports, hands-on work at an ecological park, and volunteering at medical clinics.

The programs take place in Santa Cruz.
