Join our Sea Turtle Volunteering Project In Costa Rica as one of our marine conservation volunteers. The program takes place on the Nicoya Peninsula on the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. As a conservation volunteer, you will assist in night surveys, monitor nesting sea turtles, relocate eggs to the hatchery and release baby turtles into the ocean. You can join for 1 week up to 4 weeks from July to December.
The population of Costa Rican sea turtles has declined by 90% in recent decades. Sea turtles face various threats including poaching, boat traffic, climate change, and increased trash and industrial pollution in oceans and beaches. The work that volunteers do on our Sea Turtle Volunteering Project In Costa Rica is helping the sea turtle population rebound.
