Teaching in China
Our Teaching in China program places volunteers in schools in both
urban and rural locations. There is a strong need for native speakers
of English, so our volunteers are a welcome presence at local schools.
The age of the students ranges from kindergarten to university-level.
The length of the Teaching in China program is from one to 10 months.
The summer term last two weeks, while the spring and fall terms
last approximately four months.
The Teaching in China programs takes place in the city of Yantai
on the northeast coast of China, as well as in rural villages in
Mashan
in south China.
There are plenty of cultural and historical sites
to take in during your free time. If you fly into Beijing, we will
take you to some of Beijing's most popular attractions including
Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Ming Tombs, Simatai Great
Wall, Summer Palace, and Temple of Heaven.
When you get to Yantai, you can enjoy beautiful beaches
and sites like Liugong Island, Penglai-Penglai Pavilion, Mount Kunyu,
Water Fortress and the Museum of Ancient Warship.
